Sel is an Audio Engineer, Producer, Vocalist, Songwriter, & DJ.

Her journey began as an ambitious dream to be an independent artist. She penned her own lyrics, created her own beats, and recorded herself on an outdated iPad. Realizing she had a stronger interest in the technical aspects of production; she decided to enroll in an audio program at community college, where she transitioned from the role of an artist to the role of an engineer. In 2021, Sel started her freelance business - SOUND BY $EL. She is currently working for Dolby Labs and is the Assistant Audio Editor for SAGE - The Conch Podcast. Sel identifies as queer, brown, and Cali-born. She is working towards merging her technical skills and artist mindset to create a new style of EDM. When she's not working on audio projects, she enjoys raves, tacos, and dancing.
